A South African who was known for his wildlife hunting expeditions, Scott Van Zyl, and who operated a company called SS Pro Safaris, went on a trip to Zimbabwe where he met his demise.
Scott, who captured videos and photographs of his trips and cherished his hunting accomplishments, became separated from his group of dogs and another guide near the borders of the Limpopo River, a place where crocodiles are known to live in large numbers.
So, when Scott didn’t return for hours, a search and rescue team was dispatched to the area. Eventually, they discovered his backpack on the riverbank after tracking his footprints.
Regrettably, the authorities ordered the killing of two crocodiles, one of which had consumed Scott’s body.
